Red Table Talk: T.I. Says He Was ‘Joking’ About Daughter’s Virginity-Test

After setting social media abuzz and inviting response from all quarters, rapper T.I. made an appearance on Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk to speak on the subject of her daughter virginity.

If the public humiliation he caused his 18 year old wasn’t already enough, the rapper decided that there was still some room to ‘clear the air’ and RTT was the perfect place for it.

Just earlier this month, he had stunned everyone by revealing that he takes his daughter on a regular trip to the Gynaecologist to verify that she’s still a virgin. The ‘hymen test’ not only disgusted his fans and non-fans alike, it also embarrassed his daughter enough for her to quit social media altogether.

Excusing himself from the whole thing by calling it a mere ‘joke’, T.I. sat with Pinkett Smith for a discussion which also featured her mother Adrienne Banfield-Jones.

T.I. said that he was only exaggerating the whole thing (we wonder why?!) and things got out of hand on social media.

“I began to embellish and exaggerate, and I think people took it extremely literal.”

He further stated:

“In order to guide or direct, you must have a certain level of control. In the age or the time when our women, black women, are the most unprotected … disregarded women on the planet, I’m being criticised because I’m willing to go above and beyond to protect mine. And I’m talking about all of the little slimy, grimy, chubby-fingered little boys who just want to come and defile and destroy the sanctity that I have…”

Yes, he did go there!
