Robyn Crawford & Whitney Houston Planned to Meet Wendy Williams ‘Outside’, After that Infamous Interview!

Who all remember that infamous, expletive-filled Wendy Williams radio interview with Whitney Houston back in the early 2000’s?

Yep! Before Williams became a regular on daytime television, she was a famous radio jockey, known for the same shady tactics and spilling tea that she’s known for now – only behind the camera.

It was in 2002, when Whitney Houston appeared on her radio show to promote her then released album, ‘Just Whitney’ while also confronting her about constantly speaking about her and Bobby all the time.

The conversation then gets so heated up, that Whitney infamously tells Williams to ‘meet outside’, before the two level-up and exchange pleasantries by the end.

Years later, Whitney’s old-time confidante Robyn Crawford makes an appearance on the Wendy Williams show to talk about her own memoir with Whitney and it turns out the plan really was to to meet Wendy outside back then.

Robyn details how Houston was so fed up of constantly hearing her name from Wendy’s mouth, while listening to the radio, that she did want to know what Wendy looked like and have a face-to-face chat with her.

Much to Wendy’s shock, here’s what Robyn said on the subject during her appearance on the show:

“I heard that interview, I got a call from my former assistant. I wasn’t working with Whitney. And she said Whitney’s going to be on Wendy Williams. I said, ‘What do you mean she’s going to be on Wendy?’ That was the cumulative, fed up Whitney Houston that I heard.”

She further adds:

“We were gonna… We didn’t know what you looked like and our plan was to go down to Hudson Street … and wait for you right outside. We weren’t gonna fight, we just wanted to see you face-to-face and have a chat.”

“I’m frightened. Oh my gosh, I dodged that bullet.” – Wendy said with a sigh of relief.

You know, when people say that Whitney Houston was a true-blue Jersey girl from heart – they ain’t lying.

She would meet you outside!
