Taylor Swift has added another major milestone in her career.
The pop superstar’s 2014-released international hit song – ‘Shake It Off’ has just been certified ‘Diamond’ by the Recording Industry Association Of America (RIAA) for sales or sales-equivalents of over 10 million units.
Featured as the lead single from her fifth studio album, 1989, the song was a new dimension in Swift’s catalogue – allowing her to take a more mainstream Pop approach with her music, than her previous work. An attempt that received both love and hate at that time.
Nevertheless, it now stands as one of her biggest selling songs and with the ‘Diamond’ certification at hand, it is now only the 34th song in history to do so.
