Straight out of a horror movie.
A hotel in Japan might just fit in your tiny-tweeny budget granted you fulfil a wicked condition that comes with it.
Ryokan Asah – a hotel located in Fukuoka City of Japan will provide you an overnight stay for less than a $1 (100 Yen), only if you allow your whole stay to be live-streamed.
Your privacy during the entire stay in the hotel would have to be compromised and a live-stream of the same will be uploaded on their YouTube channel – ‘One Dollar Hotel.’ (We know you’ll be searching for that now!)
The hotel has reserved a single room for the ‘special’ purpose, which has a number of camera’s installed into it. The rest are regular rooms with no cameras or supervision to them. (We hope!)
If in case you were wondering – no, the hotel is not going to live-stream sexual acts, as it doesn’t allow any intimacy to take place in the specific room. It also warns people to not display their personal identity and other confidential documents in front of the camera.
But it is still creepy, nevertheless.
So what is the reason behind, putting-up an offer like this?
CNN quoted the hotel owner, Tetsuya Inoue as telling:
“Our hotel is on the cheaper side, so we need some added value, something special that everyone will talk about.”
“This is a very old ryokan and I was looking into a new business model” – he was quoted telling NDTV.
Would you do a stay in this hotel if you visit Japan??
Have your say…
