Mary J. Blige Has Partnered With Amazon For a Tell-All Documentary on Her Life

Mary J. Blige trusts no one but herself, when it comes to telling her life-story it seems. (And reasonably so).

The Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul is gearing to release an unbridled depiction of certain phases of her life, in an upcoming documentary on Amazon.

The movie will concentrate on her highs and lows, both personally and professionally – marking 25 years since the release of her debut studio album.

Here’s what, Matt Newman – who’s the Co-Head of the movies department at Amazon Studio, was quoted as telling about the project:

“We all know Mary J. Blige as the two-time Oscar nominee, Grammy Award winning, multi-hyphenate who has sold over 80 million records. But through this documentary, audiences will see a raw and honest side of Mary J. Blige opening up about her personal journey of redemption and healing.”

He further added:

“We are thrilled to share with our worldwide Prime Video customers this exclusive, never-before-seen, inside look into the global legend, Mary J. Blige.”
