Celine Dion’s New Album Takes Biggest Tumble From #1 in Billboard Chart History

This past week Celine Dion registered herself at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 albums charts, marking her first #1 album in nearly 2 decades.

The songstress’s new album, Courage, had broken the record of Whitney Houston – by serving as her first chart-topper in 17 years.

Houston’s ‘I Look To You’ gave the late diva the record of having ‘the widest gap between #1 albums’, as it peaked atop the charts, 16 years after The Bodyguard Soundtrack – which Celine topped with ‘Courage.’

Now Celine has added another Billboard record to her name with the same album, but it isn’t for all the good reasons.

The diva’s new LP has taken the biggest tumble from the peak spot – in Billboard chart history, falling down to number 111 in its second week. The album sold close to 7,000 copies – which was a near 90% drop from its first week sales.

This is the biggest second-week fall for a female artist.
