P. Diddy To Be Honored With ‘Icon Award’ at Pre-Grammy Gala

Days after hosting a star-studded celebration for his 50th birthday, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs aka P. Diddy will have another reason to celebrate.

The rap mogul has been chosen as an honoree at the upcoming pre-Grammy gala to be hosted on the eve of 2020 Grammy awards.

Diddy will be honored with the ‘Icon Award’ at the annual musical celebration hosted by music industry titan – Clive Davis on the 25th of January.

The Recording Academy cited his “continuous influence on the music industry and beyond” while announcing the honor.



Here’s what the Academy’s President and CEO, Deborah Dungan was quoted as saying:

“For nearly three decades, Diddy has fused his boundless creativity and sharp entrepreneurial spirit to create timeless art and build brands and institutions that have shifted our global music culture…Over the years, Diddy has persistently empowered other music creators and we’re honored to celebrate his culture shaping impact at this year’s Pre-Grammy Gala.”
