Grammys To Host Special Concert in Tribute to Prince. Alicia Keys, John Legend and More To Perform!

The recording academy is putting together a special show in homage to the late and great Prince.

A Grammy-led ‘tribute concert’ will be held in the coming weeks, to pay tribute to one of the most iconic figures in popular music.

The television special entitled – ‘Let’s Go Crazy: The GRAMMY Salute To Prince’, will feature the likes of Alicia Keys, Usher and John Legend, leading the performances. The taping for the show should be concluded by the end of this month.

Other artists joining the tribute would include names like – H.E.R., Chris Martin, Common, Beck, Mavis Staples, Gary Clark Jr, Earth, Wind, & Fire, Foo Fighters, St. Vincent and Susanna Hoffs.

Previously the academy had presented a similar tribute to the iconic Whitney Houston, soon after her death. The tribute was later released on digital and CD formats, featuring performances from the likes of Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson and Usher.

With the grand list of performers announced so far, it seems they’re taking things several notches above now.
