Jennifer Lopez and Shakira’s sexuality and boldness was a bit too much to handle for some stiff viewers of this year’s Superbowl, as the show has now received over 1,300 complaints regarding the duo’s performance.
Both JLo and Shakira, delivered a hip-swinging medley of their hits – as they wore ultra-glam attires to execute their grand choreography for the much-anticipated halftime show.
But instantly after the airing of the performance, a few viewers complained about the choice of outfits for the two – stating that it was a bit too sexual for family audiences. And this has now resulted into over thirteen hundred complaints to the FCC.
“I do not subscribe to The Playboy Channel, we do not buy porn for $20 a flick, we simply wanted to sit down as a family and watch the Super Bowl.” – read one complaint. “This was incredibly offensive. My children were watching.” – read another.
Regardless of all the naysayers, the performance was one of the most well-received in recent years and has already garnered over 130 million views on YouTube.
