Rihanna Pledges To Aid Domestic Abuse Victims Amidst Coronavirus Lockdown!

After donating big sums to her home country of Barbados and also in the United States, Rihanna has pledged another donation to deal with cases of domestic abuse in the country.

As the whole world remains on either mandatory or voluntary lockdown, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, cases of domestic abuse are also seeing a noticeable rise.

People who are stuck at their homes, in situations that are abusive in nature, are attempting to seek shelter outside, but are unable to do so due to the outpouring number of cases.

Recent reports suggest that atleast 90 people are being turned away every week from Los Angeles’ domestic violent shelters, which is no less than a call for help.

Coming to the rescue, of those stuck in similar situations in the United States, Rihanna has teamed up with Twitter exec Jack Dorsey to donate a sum of $4.2 million to the Mayor’s Fund.

The financial aid attempts to assist the shelters and other such services in continuing to take-in victims of assaults and abuse, despite the increasing cases.

Way to go Riri!
