The Weeknd Says His Comment About Usher Was Misinterpreted

The Weeknd is clearing the air on his recently sparked beef with RnB hitmaker, Usher.

The ‘Blinding Lights’ singer-songwriter was recently quoted in an interview, promoting his recently released studio album, accusing Usher of taking inspiration from his 2011 released mixtape.

According to the singer’s now-viral interview, Usher’s 2012 released hit song – ‘Climax’ was curated taking inspiration from Weeknd’s mixtape, released a year before – an allegation that clearly didn’t go down well with Usher’s fans and former collaborators.

Now, taking a step back from his comment, The Weeknd is insisting that his comment was indeed taken out of context and it was clearly not what he meant.

Here’s what the singer said in response to a Tweet by Diplo – producer of Usher’s ‘Climax’:

Meanwhile, Usher too left a super-shady Tweet, without making a direct response to anyone.

“Have you ever seen the moon bark back at the dog?” – he said.

Well… apparently things got pretty heated between the parties.
