Harry Styles Earns First #1 as a Soloist on Billboard Hot 100, with New Song ‘Watermelon Sugar’

Harry Styles has earned his career’s first #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, with the release of his new single, ‘Watermelon Sugar’.

The former One Direction member has previously had a string of #1 hits with the band, but this marks his first chart-topping hit as a soloist.

Featured on his second studio album, ‘Fine Line’, the song was co-written by Styles and produced by Tyler Johnson and Kid Harpoon.

Styles has beaten DaBaby in the race to #1, as the rapper’s recently released single – ‘Rockstar’ from his third studio album, Blame It on Baby, has wound up at #2.

After Zayn Malik, Styles is the second singer from One Direction to find chart-topping success as a solo-performer in the United States.

The revamped-image clearly seems to have worked for Styles in finally distinguishing him from his former band mates.
