Beyonce Extends Support To Multiple Issues Faced in Africa: “To my African Brothers and Sisters — I hear you and I see you!”

Beyonce – who has previously spoken about the recent brutalities in Nigera calling for an end to their SARS program, is now also vocal about the multiple issues being faced in the entire African continent.

The singer and performer took to her social media to share a lengthy note about the issues ranging from police brutality, natural disasters, and women’s rights in countries like Zimbabwe, Ghana and South Africa, among others.

Sharing links to various charitable organizations, Beyonce also urged her colleagues and peers to make donations to help better the situation, in response to the countless voices that face all sorts of adversities in Africa, at the moment.

She also shared how her collaborative donations on Feminist Coalition has not only helped finance the costs of protestors but also taken care of some urgent medical needs.

Here’s her full note to the ‘African brothers and sisters’:

“My thoughts and prayers remain with our Nigerian brothers and sisters fighting to end Sars.

I’d also like to bring attention to critical issues that the Continent is facing right now.

Cameroon #AnglophoneCrisis
Congo #CongoIsBleeding
Liberia #RapeNationalEmeregncy
Namibia #ShutItAllDown
Nigeria #EndSARS
South Africa #AmINext
Ivory Coast and Ghana #ChildTrafficking
Zimbabwe #ZimbabweanLivesMatter

I listened to the voices of some young people from all parts of Africa and they are asking to be heard. They have seen too much that is wrong and they are crying out for the world to listen through our actions.

I am calling on my peers, friends and EVERYONE to join me. If you are unable to donate, click the links below to learn how you too can support.

Through my financial support of the Feminist Coalition, I am happy that we have been able to cover costs for protestors with urgent medical care needs, to provide food to so many, and to cover the expenses of emergency shelter for those left homeless and legal fees for those arrested. We are also assisting with transportation and telecom needs.

Still, the need is GREAT and requires each and every one of us. TOGETHER WITH ALL OF OUR COLLECTIVE EFFORTS WE CAN BRING ABOUT A CHANGE.

To my African Brothers and Sisters — I hear you and I see you!
