‘Fast Car’ Singer Tracy Chapman Makes Rare TV Appearance, Watch Her Perform ‘Talkin’ ‘Bout a Revolution’

Tracy Chapman – the soulful voice behind songs like ‘Fast Car’, ‘For My Lover’ and ‘Baby Can I Hold You’, made a surprise TV appearance earlier this week – right before the commencement of U.S. elections.

The Grammy winning singer-songwriter returned for her first-televised performance in over 5 years, performing, ‘Talkin’ ‘Bout a Revolution’ on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”

The hit is from her 1988-released debut album, and the 56 year old decided to change-up some parts of the lyrics to keep fit with present times.

Tracy also had a message for those, eligible to vote in the ongoing elections:

“This is the most important election of our lifetime,” she said. “It is imperative that everyone vote to restore our democracy.”

Good to see this 80’s icon back, even if it’s only for a short while.
