Tamar Braxton Talks About Her Suicide Attempt, “I felt like I was embarrassing my son”

Tamar Braxton is finally opening about the details of her mental state, pertaining to her shocking suicide attempt back in July 2020.

Back in July 17th, 2020, the singer had to be rushed to a hospital after she tried to take her own life, following a number of emotional breakdowns in her personal life.

In her recent appearance on Taraji P. Henson‘s new Facebook Watch show Peace of Mind, the singer spoke about the emotional path that led her to it.

“Logan [her son] was the reason why I made that decision. I just felt like he deserved better. I felt like I was embarrassing him, being a fool on TV.”

When Taraji wondered if she actually thought her son would be better off without her, she responded stating:

“I thought in that moment. Because I knew that’s not what my whole life really was. That’s not who I was. I didn’t want him to be embarrassed in front of his friends. Here is this loudmouth ghetto mama.”

Have a little sneak peak into their conversation below:

Great that she’s healed enough to process it and talk about it, openly.

Prayers for you, Tamar!
