Lady Gaga’s long musical association with legendary vocalist – Tony Bennet is coming to a beautiful conclusion.
The Grammy award winner singer and performer teamed up one more time with Bennett for their recent studio collaborative effort – Love for Sale, released 7 years after their successful first duet album – Cheek to Cheek, which came out in 2014.
Accompanying their release, the duo made what is possibly their last appearance together on-stage on their CBS special – One Last Time, which aired this past month.
Since Tony Bennett’s diagnosis with Alzheimer’s disease, his collaborative effort with Gaga were deemed his last piece of work, which made the moment all the more emotional.
At the finale of the concert, Gaga was seen escorting the legend off stage – which implied a heartbreaking goodbye from the 94 year old, to his audience.
“Tony, we’re all so grateful to have witnessed your talent, your generosity, your creativity, your kindness, and your service through all the years,” Gaga said to Tony. “Mr. Bennett, it would be my honor to escort you off the stage.”
