Tony Bennett Reveals He Has Alzheimer’s Disease

Legendary vocalist Tony Bennett has revealed he’s been battling Alzheimer’s disease for the last four years.

The veteran singer and performer, who has had a long and illustrious career and continues to make music even today at 94, revealed his diagnosis in a recent interview with AARP magazine.

The publication quoted Tony’s wife Susan Crow speaking on his progressive condition:

“There’s a lot about him that I miss. Because he’s not the old Tony anymore. But when he sings, he’s the old Tony.”

The article also confirms that the singer had previously recorded another duet album with his new musical partner, Lady Gaga, which may soon see the light of the day.

Tony’s wife detailed how Gaga witnessed his disorientation first-hand during the recording sessions, leading her to ‘quiver and sob’, covering her face.

Thoughts going to Tony and his family. This is truly a devastating disease to deal and tackle.
