Lady Gaga Wears Whitney Houston Sweatshirt As She Talks About The Inspiration Behind Her New Song For ‘Top Gun’

Lady Gaga has gifted her fans, aka “little monsters” a big new surprise with the release of her new single ‘Hold My Hand’ for the upcoming Top Gun sequel.

Right before the release of the single on streaming platforms, the Oscar and Grammy winning songwriter and singer also took to her social media handle to speak on the inspiration behind the new track – which, she says, also serves as an ode to everyone struggling with some hard time.

With a selfie of herself, donning a vintage Whitney Houston sweatshirt, Gaga wrote:

“My new song comes out in 50 min!!!! I wanted to say that I wrote the song for the INCREDIBLE movie #topgun #topgunmaverick but also for people who feel like they’re not gonna be ok or WE ARE never gonna be ok and that life taught me through hard times to have faith in humanity when it’s hard to have faith in yourself”

Lady Gaga never ceases to amaze with her talent as a storyteller and a songwriter, apart from her beautiful vocal gift. And she does indeed deliver with this new offering from the Tom Cruise starrer, ‘Top Gun: Maverick’.

So will this movie-association also garner the same kind of accolades as her Oscar winning baby ‘Shallow’?

Time will tell…

Meanwhile, listen to the new song below:
