Watch: Ariana Grande Sings Stunning Cover Of Judy Garland’s Classic ‘Over The Rainbow’

Somewhere Over The Rainbow or simply Over The Rainbow – is one of the most iconic songs of the past 100 years. The stunning ballad originally recorded by the late and great Judy Garland, serves as one of the most remembered musical movie moments of the century, as was featured on the cult classic ‘Wizard Of Oz.’

Needless to say, even decades later the song continues to find it’s way for singers of new generations to showcase their vocal capacity.

Recently, Ariana Grande gave a stunning rendition of the all-time classic that got internet buzzing.

The ‘Thank You, Next’ singer shared a TikTok video of herself singing the song, giving a glimpse of what to expect from her upcoming movie musical – ‘Wicked’, which is keeping the Grammy winner occupied at the moment.

“Wanted to sing you a little something but don’t want to sing anything that is not ‘Ozian’ at the moment :),” she wrote in the clip’s caption. “Keeping to my little bubble for now … done with lots of love.”

Interestingly, it isn’t the first time Grande has taken-on the song.

She famously sang it more than 5 years ago, in 2017, during her One Love Manchester concert – which aimed to pay homage to victims of those who were affected by the bombings in her Manchester concert the same year.

As for Wicked – Grande is presently busy shooting for the project, in which she plays the famous role of Glinda. The film is being directed by Jon M. Chu and will see her star alongside Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo – who is playing Elphaba.

It will be a two-part film, the first of which will hit the screens on Christmas day 2024.
