Madonna – who’s the biggest selling female artist in the world earns most of her moolah from her live World Tours. The ‘Like a Virgin’ hitmaker has earned $1.31 billion from her concerts since 1990. The list which concentrates on the net worth as of 2017 only, cited Madonna’s main earnings from her Rebel Heart Tour, which grossed a total of $170 million. Madonna also earns from her clothing and perfume range and has a share on Jay Z’s Tidal streaming service.Celine Dion, who came second in the list with over $400 million is also known to strike gold through her live concerts and tours, which mostly include her stints in Vegas. She performed approx 70 times at Caesar’s Palace which made her earn $27 million in 2016 alone, as the website reports.
The third spot in Forbes’ list is taken by Barbra Streisand who as of now has a net worth of $390 million. Barbra has been in the business for over 6 decades and shows no signs of stopping as her two most recent albums also topped the Billboard Top 200 albums charts. A large portion of Streisand’s worth comes from her investment in real estate which include a $100 million compound in Malibu. The Oscar and Grammy winning songstress earned $46 million last year from her live shows.
With an estimated net worth of $350 million, Beyoncé Knowles took the fourth position in the list with her massively successful Formation World Tour which grossed a whopping $250 million, followed by pop-sensation Taylor Swift who rounded up the Top 5. Swift’s 1989 World Tour smashed North American touring records and had a string of multi-platinum selling records from her previous album. Swift was reported to have a net worth of $280 million.
