Lupita Nyong’o and Rihanna to star together in a new movie!

Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o will be starring with pop superstar Rihanna in an upcoming Netflix movie, after the streaming service won a bid at the Cannes Film Festival to back the project.

To be directed by Ava DuVernay, who has previously directed 2014’s Oscar nominated flick, ‘Selma’, the Nyong’o starrer will be written by Issa Rae, who’s previously written for TV series, ‘Insecure’ and ‘The Choir.’

The most interesting thing about this project is the fact that it originated from the bare fantasies of the fans of the two stars after they were spotted together at a Miu Miu fashion show back in 2014.

The picture featuring the two beauties went massively viral on social media and triggered fans to imagine a whole plot based on their appearance on it.

As the buzz caught fire, Twitter users randomly approached Ava DuVernay to direct and Issa Rae to write the project, which later led all four ladies, to flag their support of the idea.

According to sources the untitled movie might hit production next year, when the script is finalized for the same.
