There are plenty of celebrities in Hollywood who have adopted names which aren’t really their’s to begin with but which represent them better as artists. Usually happens when it is decided that their real names are not glamorous or catchy enough for the industry, or if they choose to reflect their artistry with a name that might sound more suitable for their ‘stage-image’ – a la – Lady GaGa.

While there are some stars who have only changed a couple of letters on their names – like how Barbara Streisand, made herself recognized as Barbra Streisand, simply omitting the extra-‘A’ from her first name, there are others who basically opt for completely new names, that are not even remotely related to their original ones.
