Lifetime’s unauthorized biopic on Michael Jackson has already begun to garner a lot of buzz. The network has attempted to recreate the moments of the last years of the Pop legend before his untimely death in 2009.
The biopic entitled, ‘Searching For Neverland’ is based on the best-selling book by Michael Jackson’s former bodyguards, Bill Whitfield and Javon Beard entitled, ‘Remember The Time: Protecting Michael Jackson In His Final Days’.
Michael Jackson impersonator, Navi – takes on the role of the King of Pop in this made-for-television venture.
Lifetime has previously released a string of celebrity biopics – ranging from Britney Spears to Whitney Houston – most of which may not go down well with critics but manage to get soaring ratings for the network.
