Beyonce, Drake, Oprah, Cher etc together raise $44m for Hurricane relief

In an effort to raise funds for the victims of the recent hurricane tragedies in the United States, several Hollywood A-listers from both movies and music, came together to lend their support for the cause.

Led by Nicki Minaj in her hometown of New York City, ‘Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief,’ featured names like Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce, Lupita Nyong’o, Sam Smith, Justin Bieber and several others – managed to raise over $44 million for the victims of Hurricane Harvey and Irma bath.

The live telethon aired on multiple networks from NYC raised $14 million in the initial hour itself, while the rest was donated during the remainder of the show and after that.

Other major celebs who took park in raising funds for the cause included names like – George Clooney, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Drake, Julia Roberts, Leonardo Dicaprio, Hilary Duff, Jamie Foxx, Faith Hill, DJ Khaled, Tim McGraw,  Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Barbra Streisand, Justin Timberlake and many others.
