Katy Perry sings Janet Jackson’s ‘What Have You Done For Me Lately’ on her tour

Katy Perry and Janet Jackson are both busy with their respective, pretty well-received, world tours. While Janet has been in the touring biz for longer than most people who constitute the fan-following of Perry would know, her music still continues to inspire artists of the present generation – and in this instance, Perry herself.

The ‘Swish Swish’ singer who’s on her ‘Witness’ world tour, in support of her fifth studio album, recently covered Jackson’s 1986 classic , ‘What Have You Done For Me Lately’ during one of the openings nights in the Canadian leg of her tour.

Perry teamed Jackson’s smash-hit with her own single from from her latest album and turned it into a spectacle, that is typical of her shows.

Mixed in-between one of her recent singles, ‘Bon Appetit’ – Katy pulled off a unique blend of two different era’s of Pop music.
