Cardi B, who’s flying high after ‘Bodak Yellow’ topped this week’s Billboard Hot 100, held a press conference at Atlantic records in New York, this Monday to celebrate the feat.
The 24 year old rapper wrote her name history books by becoming the first female rapper in almost 19 years to have a #1 Hot 100 solo, and in doing so, dethroned Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” from the top spot.
Appearing jamming down the stairs to her hit at the little gathering in NY, Cardi thanked all of her supporters and fellow musicians who urged everyone to buy the track and helped her get to #1.
The 24 year old rapper then started singing ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ to convey her excitement – and the internet was quick to speculate if it was meant as a shade to Swift.
