Celine Dion Finishes Her Las Vegas Residency After 16 Years

Celine Dion – the power-belter with the lungs of steel, has finally said goodbye to her 16-year long Las Vegas residency.

The 51 year old Grammy winning performer, who first took the stage in Vegas back in 2003 and has been a regular performer there, with over 1141 shows, ended her iconic stint at The Colosseum, Caesars Palace on Saturday.

Featuring appearances from her three sons and a photographic look back at her journey in the city, Celine’s last show in Vegas was a perfect farewell, featuring a few surprises.

“I’m both proud and humbled by what we’ve accomplished at The Colosseum since we began 16 years ago, when René and I first shared this dream,” she was quoted as saying by ET, further adding – “This entire experience has been a huge part of my show business career … one that I will cherish forever. I have so many people to thank, but the most important ‘thank you’ goes to my fans, who gave us the opportunity to do what we love.”

The bittersweet finale show was also treated with a surprise performance of her new single, Flying On The Moon, from her upcoming new album, ‘Courage’ – coming later this year.

All good things come to an end, but as they say – ‘never say never.’

Would be interesting to see, what Celine ventures into after freeing herself from Vegas.
