Poll: Vote For Your Favorite Whitney Houston Movie!

Whitney Houston wasn’t just an earth-shattering singer, but a successful motion picture actress too.

The late diva ventured into the world of movies with her 1992 released film debut, opposite Kevin Costner in The Bodyguard. The movie was so successful, that it landed in the list of the top 100 highest grossers of all time, grossing nearly $500m at the worldwide box office.

The debut was followed by another successful venture, ‘Waiting To Exhale’, directed by Forrest Whitaker and co-starring Angela Bassett, which became one of the most talked about movies of the year.

The following year, Whitney was offered a whopping $10 million to star in the Christmas comedy, The Preacher’s Wife, making her one of the highest paid actresses of that time.

Next year, she co-created and co-starred in the television adaptation of Rodger’s and Hammerstein’s Cinderella – turning it into one of the most watched television events of that time.

Her last big-screen venture was Sparkle, which was released early in 2012, a few months after her untimely demise.

While the catalog of films was small, there’s no doubt Houston made an impact with her presence – especially among the aspiring actresses of color.

But if you had to pick one among these classics, as your ‘favorite Whitney movie of all time’, which one would it be?
