Celine Dion Scores First No. 1 Album in Over 17 Years With Her Latest LP – ‘Courage’

Celine Dion has made a divalicious return to the charts.

The Grammy-winning songstress’ latest offering – ‘Courage’ has topped the Billboard Top 200 albums charts, giving the balladeer her first #1 on the charts in over 17 years.

According to Billboard.com, the album fetched nearly 113,000 equivalent of album sales, earning the singer the top place on the main charts, ahead of competitions from Tory Lanez and Post Malone – who took-up the 2nd the 3rd spot, respectively.

Celine’s last #1 album had come out in the year 2002, when her seventh English studio album, A New Day Has Come, had topped the charts.



‘Courage’ is the diva’s 12th English-language studio album, and marks her “return” to music since facing a number of personal turmoils, including the passing of her husband of 22 years, René Angélil.

 

No doubt, the audiences love the idea of a diva making a triumphant return to music.
