Lil Nas Becomes First Openly Gay Man To Win at the CMA Awards!

Lil Nas’ overnight achievements brought-in by his megahit – ‘Old Town Road’ aren’t just ending with his chart records. The rapper has now added another feather to his cap, by becoming the first openly gay male artist to win an award at the Country Music Association Awards.

Nas took home the trophy along with Billy Ray Cyrus for their gigantic hit – ‘Old Town Road’, which won in the category – ‘Best Musical Event Of The Year’ on Wednesday.

The news was officially announced on CMA awards’ official Twitter handle.
