Whitney Houston Earns Two Nominations at iHeartRadio Music Awards

It was a great year for the legacy of the late Whitney Houston.

The singer achieved her first major posthumous hit with Kygo’s remix of her 1990-recording of Steve Winwood’s Higher Love.

Not only was the track certified Gold in the United States, it earned multiple certifications in several other territories, becoming a worldwide hit.



As the award season for the past year starts, the remixed bop is now beginning to find new glory in the form of nominations.

 

The duet has now earned two nods at the upcoming iHeartRadio music awards.

Nominated in the – Dance Song Of The Year and Best Remix categories, the Kygo-Houston collaboration will now face competition from the likes of Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Ariana Grande, Lil Nas and more.
