Blue Ivy Carter Wins NAACP Image Award at Just 8 Years Old, For Songwriting Credit on Brown Skin Girl

Blue Ivy has done it again. Her contribution to mama Beyonce’s critically acclaimed single – Brown Skin Girl, still seems to be paying off – as the 8 year old has now been recognised by the NAACP for the same.

Ivy had apparently contributed as a co-writer to the track and was awarded for the same by the association, along with the rest of the contributors.

Proud Grandma Tina Knowles took to her Instagram handle to shower praises on the young diva-in-the-making…

Beyonce herself was a major face throughout the 2020 ceremony of NAACP, as she took home a total of 6 trophies – including Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Soundtrack for “The Lion King: The Gift”.

If this is just the beginning for Blue Ivy, clearly bigger things await for her on the horizon.
