Katy Perry is one of the first A-list celebrities to extend support to Ellen DeGeneres amidst all the allegations that are being made against her and her daytime show, by ex-employees.
DeGeneres’ show has been accused of ‘toxic work environment’ for it’s employees – as a number of them have come forwards with allegations ranging from a not-so-happy behind-the-scene climate to “creating a culture of fear and intimidation.”
While a lot of Ellen’s long list of Hollywood pals have remained silent thus far, Katy Perry has made a Tweet to remind the world about the good, the talk show queen has brought through her show, while extending her love and support to her.
Here’s what Perry had to say:
“I know I can’t speak for anyone else’s experience besides my own but I want to acknowledge that I have only ever had positive takeaways from my time with Ellen & on the @theellenshow. I think we all have witnessed the light & continual fight for equality that she has brought to the world through her platform for decades. Sending you love & a hug, friend @TheEllenShow ♥️”
Would be interesting to see how things unfold in the coming days and how Ellen manages to get past this phase, granted the allegations don’t go any more severe.
