Whitney Houston and Kygo’s ‘Higher Love’ Has Now Spent 58 Weeks on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Chart

It has been well over a year since Whitney Houston earned yet another dance hit, several years after her passing, courtesy of her hot new mix of an old song, brought to life by Kygo.

Higher Love – released in collaboration with Houston’s estate, by the Norwegian DJ and producer is still very much alive on the Billboard charts.

The uplifting and inspiring tune has been on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart for a total of 58 weeks now, presently sitting pretty at #7 – more than a year after it’s release.

The update was shared and celebrated by Houston’s estate, who wrote the following on her social media handles:

““Higher Love” is still going strong on the charts more than a year after its release! The song debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart in July 2019, stayed #1 on that chart for 16 weeks, and has remained on the chart for 58 weeks so far! This week it’s up two notches to #7 on the chart. Link in bio to listen.”

Originally released in the Japan-version of her 1990-released third studio album, ‘I’m Your Baby Tonight’, ‘Higher Love’ was pretty much un-introduced to her US audiences.

The remixed version by Kygo, served as a reminder of her timeless vocal beauty and power, which helped amplify it’s success to the top of Billboard’s dance charts, last year.

Presently with a Gold RIAA certification, it seems the next-stop for this groovy certified hit will be a Platinum.
