The ‘verzuz’ battle (more like a musical extravaganza) was one of the greatest things our eyes and ears got the privilege of experiencing in 2020, considering the havoc the year has brought along so far.
The divas got together for the latest airing of Verzuz and it was pure delight to watch the two legends, chit-chat about their past memories and experiences and then sing their hearts out to music, that has established them as the goddesses of Soul music.
With an astonishing ability to still be able to belt out their old classics (both aged 76 now) and make us feel the way they did with their voices back then, the divas were heard and seen jamming to their hits like ‘Midnight Train To Georgia’, ‘Love, Need and Want You’, ‘Neither One Of Us’, ‘New Attitude’, ‘Lady Marmalade’ and several others.
There’s no dearth of hits and classics, when you’re talking about legends like Miss Knight and Miss LaBelle, with decades of music under their belts.
