Elliot Page announced to the world his coming out story and his new name, earlier this week.
Formerly known as ‘Ellen Page’ and nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in the teen-pregnancy flick, ‘Juno’, the 33 year old star is married to dancer Emma Portner and receives full support from his partner.
Emma shared a few words of encouragement for Elliot, expressing how proud she is of her partner, for coming out with his truth.
Here’s what Portner, 26, wrote on her Instagram account:
“I am so proud of @elliotpage.
Trans, queer and non-binary people are a gift to this world. I also ask for patience & privacy but that you join me in the fervent support of trans life every single day.
Elliot’s existence is a gift in and of itself. Shine on sweet E. Love you so much.”

Elliot and Emma were married in 2018 and Elliot’s coming out story seems to have bound them even more.
