Like most movies, Hollywood’s modern-day classic ‘Titanic’ also had to go through some on-the-spot alterations in the script, and a few liberties that the director had apparently taken to see how the story could end.
Yes – Titanic has an alternate ending, which most might not have seen.
The 1997-released James Cameron classic which broke all box-office records at the time of it’s release, and still remains one of the highest grossing movies of all time has been a monumental piece of cinema, which also grabbed numerous awards, including 11 Oscars.
But this ‘deleted’ ending we’re talking about, may have changed things for the worse for this emotional juggernaut.
The alternate and unreleased scene features an awkward dialogue between ‘old Rose’ and the team of marine-researchers who’re trying to find the ‘heart of the ocean’.
This shows them finding out that the woman had in fact kept the precious necklace with her all along, as opposed to the actual ending – in which Rose dies with the secret, after discarding it into the ocean.
Not only is it badly acted, but it also appears extremely amateurish and cringey, to say the least.

Whatever were they thinking while filming it – we’re just glad the movie ended with the ending we all have come to know and love.
