Mariah Carey has given her fans a new treat ahead of the Christmas season (which she has practically been owning for the past few years).
The songbird has unveiled the music video for her new collaboration with Brandy – ‘The Roof (When I Feel The Need)’.
The song – which itself was unveiled a few months ago, has been given the music video treatment, which simply features the two 90’s divas, working their magic in the studio, in the old-fashioned way.
The lowkey and casual video comes in the wake of the ongoing celebration of the 25th anniversary of Carey’s ‘Butterfly’ album, which was released in the year 1997.
The Roof – originally featured in the classic, was one of her biggest hits of the album. Taking to her social media, unveiling the new visual, Mariah wrote:
“The Roof” Is one of my favorite songs from #Butterfly, so when we decided to redo it in The Butterfly Lounge, I had to ask one of my favorite singers ever, Miss Brandy to sing it with me!”
Brandy also took to her Instagram handle to shower love on Carey and the album:
“Love you Mariah Carey – so honored, overjoyed, and humbled to be a part of a body of work that changed my life. You are so loved.”
