Kevin Costner Tributes Whitney Houston, Urges Fans To Celebrate Her Legacy By Watching The Bodyguard On Theaters On 30th Anniversary Re-release

As we informed before, Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner’s iconic on-screen chemistry can be re-lived in theaters again, as the 30th anniversary of the film approaches.

The iconic romantic thriller is set for a very limited re-release on the 6th and 9th of November, across several cities globally.

Joining the celebration, Houston’s co-star and the leading man of her debut film, Costner took to his social media handle, urging people to celebrate her legacy.

Sharing a poster of the 1993 released motion picture, Costner wrote:

“In November, 30 years after its first premiere, The Bodyguard will be returning to theaters. I couldn’t be more excited that we all get to re-experience this film and the magic that happened when Whitney stepped in front of the camera.”

He further added:

“I hope you’ll join us in celebrating this movie and her legacy.”

The Bodyguard marked the big-screen debut of Houston as an actress, after she already had record-breaking success as a singer with three best-selling albums.

Back in 1992, it was among the 10 highest grossers of the year and shot Whitney’s star-value across the stratosphere. It is safe to assume, few female stars experienced that level of global superstardom, as Houston experienced after the release of this film and the accompanying soundtrack.

The film comes back to theaters on 6th and 9th of November and the tickets are available for pre-booking.
