Jennifer Hudson Transforms Into Whoopie Goldberg From Sisters Act For Halloween, Sings Gospel Medley

Jennifer Hudson took Halloween to church, as an early tease to the upcoming Holiday season.

The Oscar winning star donned Whoopie Goldberg’s iconic character from Sisters Act for Halloween, and in doing so also performed an inspiring gospel medley on her Jennifer Hudson show.

After giving a verbal tribute to the iconic two-part film, and calling it an inspiration to her young self back in the day, Hudson was joined by a choir – leading a splendid performance in the true fashion of a Broadway musical.

The powerhouse vocalist sang songs like “I Will Follow Him,” “My Guy (My God),” and “Oh Happy Day” recreating the magic of the early 90’s classic.

Absolutely stunning. This could easily pass off as a Broadway show.

Speaking about the film and Whoopi’s role in it, Hudson said:

“I love all the music from it. Did you love it? Coz I don’t know about you, I wanted to be in the movie, after watching a legend like Whoopie Goldberg. She is such an icon.”

“The movie just meant so much to me as a little girl. When it came out, it was like 93, so I was about 12 years old. And when I saw that movie, it gave me so much inspiration. It helped me create my dreams.”

Fingers crossed for Hudson’s inclusion in the forthcoming sequel of this classic – because this was utterly flawless!
