Dolly Parton Says She’d Love To Record A Christmas Collab With Mariah Carey, But “Would Be Out-Sung” By Carey

Mariah Carey’s Christmas recordings have been a staple around the time of the Holidays for the past couple of years, especially her Billboard chart-topping 90’s classic hit – ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You.’

Naturally there’s no dearth of recording artists wanting to collaborate with the diva, as the Christmas season arrives.

On that list, is now Dolly Parton – who has recently expressed that she is keen to make a Christmas-special recording with the ‘Hero’ singer, even though she has one worry – Carey might out-sing her.

The country legend boasts of a glorious, distinct and soulful voice herself, but still joked-around the idea of singing with Carey – who famously boasts of a 5 octave vocal range.

While dishing on the idea of a Christmas collab with the songstress, Parton, 76, told ET Canada:

“I love Mariah Carey! She could out-sing me so bad though…or so good,” she said. “I would really have trouble keeping up with her vocally because I think she’s spectacular.”

On the idea of an X-mas duet, Dolly stated – “Never say Never.”

Now we know, Dolly isn’t just one of the most fabulously talented artists but also a humble soul, who doesn’t mind putting herself second to another diva.

Even though, as Mariah herself stated, Dolly can be deemed the queen of everything with her charming self.

More reasons to love her! Let that duet be manifested into reality now.
