POLL: Who Should Win The ‘Best Actress’ Oscar This Year? Vote Here!

While the Critics Choice Awards and Golden Globes have already given us a picture of what to expect at the upcoming Oscars, there are still some late submissions and underdogs, that could come as ‘last-minute’ surprises at the upcoming 95th ceremony of the awards.

Michelle Yeoh has been a favorite all year along throughout 2022, until Cate Blanchett slowly starting becoming another one of ‘critics’ favorite’ for her performance in Tár.

As her complex portrayal of composer Lydia Tár – a fictional character curated by Todd Field, Cate holds the potential of winning her third Academy award – putting her in an elite category of winners.

For ‘Everything Everywhere, All At Once’ – Michelle Yeoh, has been raking-in her career-best reviews and the accolades keep pouring in. She was awarded ‘Actress In A Musical Or Comedy Motion Picture’ at the recently held Golden Globes for her performance in the film – marking her first win in her 3-decade career.

The other potential nominees in the ‘Best Actress’ category this year are all a bit blurry, as they hold an equal potential of scoring a final nod.

There’s Olivia Colman in Empire of Light and Michelle Williams in The Fabelmans.

Naomi Ackie who played iconic Pop songstress Whitney Houston in I Wanna Dance With Somebody has also earned rave reviews for her performance and has been included in the longlist of BAFTA awards. Although the producers, for some reason, failed to meet the final deadlines for submissions at the Golden Globe – missing a big chance for Ackie, considering her standout act, she may finally find some redemption at the Academy Awards and certainly at BAFTA.

Out of all these potential winners and nominees – who would you like to see as the winner?
