The Color Purple musical is all set to release in theatres.
Oprah Winfrey’s ambitious project, which is a musical remake of the film that marked the very entry of the talk-show queen in the world of Hollywood and media back in 1985, is set for a theatrical release on December 25th.
And amidst all the widespread coverage the film has been receiving, RnB songstress Alicia Keys has unveiled the music video her original track ‘Lifeline’ from the project’s soundtrack.
The song has been produced by Marshmello and Tricky Stewart and it is one of the many highlights in the star-studded soundtrack album for the project, which also features music from – Fantasia, Mary J. Blige, Usher, H.E.R., Keyshia Cole, among others.

Just the perfect inspirational tune that is needed to assist a magnum-opus-of-a-story that is – The Color Purple.
Would be interesting to see if the new flick manages to recreate the magic of the original from 1985.
