Disney’s live-action remake of the animated classic The Little Mermaid is all set to hit the big-screens worldwide. And ahead of it’s May 26 theatrical release, the makers have unveiled the much-awaited remake of the film’s original lead song ‘Part Of Your World.’
The live-action remake which sees Halley Bailey in the titular role of Princess Ariel, making her the first black actress to portray the famous fictional Disney character – will also feature her singing her heart out in the soundtrack, courtesy of her musical talents.
Originally written by lyricist Howard Ashman and composer Alan Menken for the 1989 animated film, the new version highlights the soaring vocals of Halle, as she belts her heart out towards the finale and the accompanying visual features some breathtaking scenes from the film, under the cinematography of Dion Beebe.

While Bailey is the clear star of the show, The Little Mermaid also features – Jonah Hauer-King, Daveed Diggs, Awkwafina, Jacob Tremblay, Noma Dumezweni, Javier Bardem, and of course – Melissa McCarthy – in the iconic role of Ursula – the wicked sea witch.
