After her controversy-filled stint with American Idol, Mariah Carey is returning to singing competitions with the latest season of The Voice.
The RnB Diva has signed-up with NBC, to appear as a ‘Key Advisor’ for the current season of the show.
Shortly after the singer confirmed her association with the show on her Facebook handle, a clip of her appearance in an upcoming episode was shared online by Today:

The news of her association with The Voice comes only a week after the songstress had revealed the name and cover of her much-anticipated upcoming studio album, ‘Caution’ – and had also announced an accompanying states-wide tour for the same.
Could her stint with The Voice be a strategic way to push her album to a larger audience?

Till then, let us hope this turns out better than her stint with ‘American Idol’, which Carey herself described as ‘the worst experience of her life.’
