Ed Sheeran has registered his name in the history books.
The ‘Shape Of You’ hitmaker’s latest worldwide tour ‘Divide’ has raked-in enough to become the highest grossing tour of all time.
Dethroning legendary rock band, U2, from the top spot – the singer-songwriter’s 246-leg tour has grossed a whopping $737.9 million, across Europe, Asia, America and Africa.
The worldwide smash tour has sold over 8.5 million tickets, as reported by Billboard Boxscore.
Interestingly, Ed still has 9 dates left from the ongoing tour – so expect the record to be extended further by the end of it.
In comparison to ‘The Divide Tour’, U2 now sit at #2 with $734.4 million while The Rolling Stones’ come third with ‘A Bigger Bang Tour’, which grossed $558 million. Guns N’ Roses and Coldplay wind up the Top 5, respectively.
