Whitney Houston and Kygo’s ‘Higher Love’ Has Been Certified Gold in the U.S.

It isn’t often that an artist who has been deceased for years still manages to make a mark on the current charts with a new release.

But not every artist is – Whitney Houston.

The late songstress has achieved yet another Gold certification, courtesy of her recent collaboration with EDM music producer Kygo on her previously “unreleased” cut – ‘Higher Love.’

The diva’s high-octane vocal performance on the new Kygo production had sold over 500,000 copies in the United States alone, earning her first RIAA certified single in over 20 years.

Apart from the remarkable sales in the US, the single has also been certified Gold in countries like – Canada, United Kingdom and New Zealand, while also earning a Platinum certification from Australia.

The absolute banger of a song was one of our favourite cuts released this past summer and to make up for the rest of the year, the diva’s estate is now looking forward to the release of a new Holiday single, featuring Pentatonix.

Whitney Houston is certainly a gift, that keeps on giving, even 7 years after her passing.
