Ellen DeGeneres Premieres New Season, Addresses All Allegations About ‘Toxic Workplace’ [Video]

Ellen DeGeneres finally addressed all allegations pertaining to the environment at her workplace, behind the camera.

As you might know, the talk show host was embroiled into controversies pertaining to a number of serious allegations made against the working environment at her show’s sets, with a number of stories coming out about what goes on behind the camera.

Few of her former employees, who worked behind the curtain, for the show implicated Ellen and the top hierarchy of her team, stating that off-camera environment on the show and backstage, was quite tense and unpleasant.

People had also alleged DeGeneres of not really being as ‘nice’ and ‘kind’ behind the camera, contrary to her image on the show. An allegation, she now puts to rest, in the first airing of her show since it all started – stating that she’s not that good of an actress, to pull of a persona for 17 years.

On the premiere of her brand new season, the 62 year old said:

“As you may have heard this summer, there were allegations of a toxic work environment at our show and then there was an investigation. I learned that things happened here that never should’ve happened. I take that very seriously, and I want to say I’m so sorry to the people who were affected.”

She further stated:

“The truth is I am that person that you see on TV. I am also a lot of other things. Sometimes I get sad, I get mad, I get anxious, I get frustrated, I get impatient, and I am working on all of that.”

Ellen fans are arguing that humans are allowed to have their flaws and constantly work upon them, so celebrities should be no exception to the rule.
