While several artists were forced to either delay their pre-planned releases or cancel their booked shows and tours, there were also some who utilized the situation to reach out to all those that were stuck in their homes, with new releases!



Among females – the likes of Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift, served constant goodies to their fans, garnering both critical and commercial success.

 

Rap Queen Nicki Minaj, also earned the first #1 of her career with ‘Say So’ and so did, Megan Thee Stallion with her Beyonce-assisted remix of ‘Savage.’

Mariah Carey yet again remained relevant, weeks before the holiday season, thanks to her 1994-released Christmas classic, which solidifies her as the ‘Queen of Christmas’, every year. She topped the Billboard Hot 100 yet again with her classic, ‘All I Want For Christmas is You’ and released another Christmas collaboration with Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson.



Lady Gaga was victorious with her chart-topping effort, ‘Chromatica’, which earned her yet another #1 song with ‘Rain On Me’ which featured, yet again, Ms. Grande.

 

JoJo made her triumphant return to music, after involuntarily straying away from limelight back in the day. She released her first album in four years, entitled ‘Good To Know’ and then released her first-ever Christmas album called – ‘December Baby.’

Chloe x Halle were the most talked-about breakthrough stars of the year, with their sophomore album ‘Ungodly Hour’ and with the direct praise they received from their mentor, Queen Bey.
