Eminem Says He Had To ‘Relearn’ How To Rap Due To His Drug Addiction

Eminem has revealed his drug addiction had caused him to relearn a lot of things in life, including – how to rap.

The 48 year old star recently spoke to SiriusXM’s Gray Rizzy, once again apologizing for the controversial lyric to his leaked song about Rihanna and Chris Brown, and dishing on what led to it.

To the unaware, the rapper’s ‘leaked song’ made a reference to Chris Brown physically assaulting Rihanna back in 2009. “Of course I side with Chris Brown / I’d beat a b*tch down too.” – it stated.

Em has now clarified that he had ‘zero recollection’ of even having written the verse, since he was re-starting with learning how to rhyme, and basically put together whatever was rhyming, at that point.

“Like the rhyme schemes didn’t even sound like familiar to me. So I was caught off guard too. I was like, ‘What the f–k, I said that?’” Eminem recalled.

He further stated:

“I said it and I was wrong for saying that. It was f–king stupid. You know, a lot of times, especially with the ‘Relapse’ record, when I first started learning how to rap again, because of the drug situation that I went through and having to relearn a lot of things, that was one of those things that it was like, ‘Well, if it rhyme say it.’”
